The embargo for AMD Ryzen 3000 CPUs will lift in less than two days, but Germany’s PC Games Hardware (PCGH) has graced us with a peek at the 3900X and 3700X’s performance. Six titles were tested at 720p, presumably to reduce GPU load and avoid bottlenecking.

The 8C/16T and 12C/24T chips did spectacularly with Assassin’s Creed Origins, edging out the competition’s Core i9-9900K, but Intel’s option remained dominant in other titles such as Far Cry 5 and Wolfenstein II. There was no contest when it came to power consumption, however.
