1440p Gaming Performance
To start the bidding today, we will look at the 1440p performance of the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING video card in an assortment of games. All of the games are running at the highest quality selections available sans Ray Tracing and DLSS which we will look at separately. For each game, we are using the game benchmark included with the game and reporting the average frames per second.
Cyberpunk 2077
In Cyberpunk 2077, we are using the Ultra quality presets without modifications. We are performing a manual run-through of a set driving route through the city and averaging our results over multiple runs.
The EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING turned in a performance of 72 FPS which led the pack by a minimum of 1.9FPS and as much as 4.7 FPS. Overclocking the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING boosted performance to 75.5 FPS, a 4.9% gain.
Watch Dogs: Legion
In Watch Dogs: Legion we do have the HD Textures installed. We are running in “Ultra” quality with the Extreme Detail slider maxed out, as well as the Headlights quality option maxed out. In this way, we are running “maximum” game settings.
The EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING turned in a score of 92 FPS, which was 1 FPS faster than the air-cooled 3080 Ti, but 1 FPS slower than the 3080 FTW3 12 GB card. This particular game appears to be an outlier from our testing as if the higher frequency associated with the 3080 12GB card has more impact or there could be some level of CPU constraint happening at this resolution.
Overclocking the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING added an extra 4 FPS bringing it into the lead. Overall, all cards in the lineup provide for a great experience playing Watch Dogs: Legion.
Metro Exodus
In Metro Exodus, the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING pulled 86.6 FPS out of its hat, defeating the EVGA GEFORCE RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING’s 85.2 hats along with all of the other hats on the hat rack. Overclocking the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING produced 87.1FPS increasing its lead.
Dirt 5
In Dirt 5, the EVGA RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING achieved 148.4FPS, ahead of the RTX 3080 12GB FTW3 and ASUS TUF RX 6800 XT, but it was bested by the EVGA GEFORCE RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING. Overclocking the EVGA RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING boosted it up to 150.4 FPS and to the top ranking on the chart.
