MultiVersus Welcomes Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) and Agent Smith (The Matrix) as Playable Characters Ahead of May 28 Release

MultiVersus, the new platform fighter developed by Player First Games that features an ever-expanding cast of iconic characters and legendary universes, various online modes, in-game events, content-filled seasons, and more, is expanding its roster with Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th horror movie franchise and Agent Smith from The Matrix film series, the former of whom will be playable when the game launches as a free-to-play title on May 28 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store with full cross-play and cross-progression support, publisher Warner Bros. Games has announced. Both Smith and Voorhees are teased at the end of a new official launch trailer that Player First Games shared today, which also teases the rest of the cast, including Superman, Batman, Bugs Bunny, Marvin the Martian, and more.

MultiVersus’ latest announcements now include:

  • The Joker (available at launch)
  • Jason Voorhees (available at launch)
  • Agent Smith (later as part of Season 1: Puns & Villainy)
