Cooler Master wants everyone to know that a translation error was to blame for confusion with its CryoFuze 5 product description. Tech enthusiasts across the world had a facepalm moment recently after a new overseas product launch seemingly took the AI branding fad to another level. A machine-translated (Google) product description for Cooler Master’s latest CryoFuze thermal paste listed it as AI thermal paste. Cooler Master wants folks to know there is no such thing as AI Thermal Paste and while CryoFuze 5 is its best version yet, it is not what the translation indicated.

Official Statement (via Cooler Master FaceBook page):

“Let’s clear the air: there is no such thing as “AI thermal paste.” This is a straightforward case of information getting “lost in translation.” The reference to “AI competitive” on our Chinese site was an error and does not accurately represent the capabilities of Cryofuze 5.

What is true is that CryoFuze 5 is our best thermal paste yet. It’s incredibly versatile and designed to handle a wide temperature range, making it perfect for today’s demanding applications. As AI continues to push the limits of computing, generating more heat than ever, our thermal paste is here to ensure your components stay cool and perform at their best.

AI is the wave of the future, and with it comes increased demands on your hardware. Cooler Master is committed to helping you get the most out of your machine, and CryoFuze 5 is a testament to that commitment.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any further questions or need more information, our media relations team is here to help.”

It is interesting to note that despite the PC component manufacturer’s claim of a translation error its official statement seemingly maintains a narrative of increased needs for AI and the company’s commitment to offering the best cooling solutions for it. In the end though many in the PC community enjoyed a humorous moment at Cooler Master’s expense and a new meme was born. Meanwhile, even if CryoFuze 5 is not AI thermal paste no one is left believing this will be the last product to leave tech enthusiasts scratching their head when AI is slapped onto another advertising slogan. A quick glance at Cooler Master’s FaceBook page shows how the community had fun with it, including a clever T1000 reference, and even Cooler Master joined in.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
