The Boys, the satirical superhero television series based on the WildStorm/Dynamite comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, will end with Season 5 at Amazon, series creator Eric Kripke has announced. Kripke shared the news in a tweet today, noting that this was “always” the plan and how fans will want to tune into the show’s fourth season, which premieres on Prime Video this Thursday, on June 13.
Kripke told fans:
- “Season 4 Premiere Week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the Final Season!”
- “Always my plan, I just had to be cagey till I got the final OK from Vought.”
- “Thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax. Watch Season 4 in 2 DAYS, cause the end has begun!”
