Beyond Good and Evil, the 2003 action-adventure game from Rayman creator Michel Ancel that, while selling poorly, received such an overwhelmingly positive response from players that a sequel was greenlit by Ubisoft, where it (seemingly) remains in development, has been unlisted from Steam and will no longer appear under its search function, according to a notice that can now be found on the game’s store page, which remains active. The change comes on the footsteps of an announcement from Ubisoft about how Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition, an updated version of the game that features 4K/60 FPS, improved graphics, and other improvements, will be featured at the Limited Run Games Showcase that is scheduled for later this week.
A description for the 20th Anniversary Edition that was previously leaked by Xbox reads:
- “Swoop into the marvelous world of Hillys as action-reporter Jade to investigate the mysterious DomZ alien attacks alongside colorful characters, like her adoptive uncle Pey’j or the valiant Double H.”
- “Embark on this epic adventure in up to 4K, 60 fps with improved graphics, controls, and audio, along with brand-new autosave and cross-save features.”
