The Cybertruck, a full-size battery electric pickup from Tesla that remains unmistakable for its futuristic body design, comprising flat, stainless-steel sheet panels, has been recalled for a fourth time over issues with not only their massive windshield wipers, but also certain parts of their exterior trim, according to new documents that have been shared by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Tesla is recalling 11,688 Cybertrucks from the 2024 model year for the windshield wiper issue, which involves motor controllers potentially failing due to excessive electrical current, while 11,383 Cybertrucks are being recalled for the trunk bed trim sail applique, which could fall off while driving.

Tesla on the Cybertruck’s windshield wiper issue:
Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2024 Cybertruck vehicles. Excessive electrical current can cause the front windshield wiper motor controller to fail. Windshield wiper failure can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. Tesla service will replace the wiper motor, free of charge.
