At Computex this year, we got to see a live tech demo at NVIDIA’s hotel suite where they continue to iterate on the potential use cases for on-device AI. For this demo, they have ingested all of the information from the community maintained ARK: Survival wiki into their AI model. On top top of that, they’ve set up voice recognition so you can talk to the assistant as well as the ability for the AI model to see what is on the screen to better match back to the wiki knowledge. As a result, you’ll be able to talk to the AI in real time to get pro-tips about what you’re doing.

This application of AI isn’t without controversy – some might argue the whole point of playing a game is to work through the challenges on your own to the point that you might as well just let the AI play for you while you go do something else.

As this is just a tech demo, don’t expect an official release of something like this any time soon. NVIDIA is simply showing us something that could be built in the future. Let us know your thoughts on this in the forums!
