The Radeon RX 7600, a graphics card based on the RDNA 3 architecture that AMD launched in May 2023 to deliver what the company says is next-generation, high-performance 1080p gaming, streaming, and content creation with stunning visual fidelity, is currently the most popular AMD GPU in South Korea, according to new sales trends that have been shared by a local outlet. As of April 2024, the sales share of Radeon GPUs more than doubled to 10.74% in the country, with figures reaching 11.56% in May, Danawa noted, although NVIDIA, which offers alternatives in the form of various GeForce GPUs, continues to dominate with an 89% sales share.

From a report (machine translation):

  • “The RADEON series chipset graphics card, which was only 4.61% in July 2023, grew to 7-8%, and as of April 2024, the sales share more than doubled to 10.74%. In May, it even reached 11.56%.”
  • “This sharp increase in RADEON sales share was led by the RX 7600 chipset. Looking at the sales share by chipset, the RX 6600, which had been accounting for 40.92% of RADEON graphics cards, showed a downward trend and fell to 23.1%.”
  • “…the RX 7600 succeeded in reversing the trend by increasing its market share from 14.29% a year ago to 26% in June 2024.”
  • “…NVIDIA’s sales share of close to 89% is so powerful that it is no exaggeration to say that it completely dominates the graphics card market. Therefore, RADEON’s sales share of just 10% may seem meaningless, but for RADEON graphics cards that have suffered numerous hardships(?) so far, isn’t it very encouraging news that it has doubled in just one year?”
