Deliver Us Home, a sequel to 2018’s Deliver Us the Moon and 2023’s Deliver Us Mars that will challenge players to take on the role of an astronaut once again in a quest to seek a new home for humanity, has managed to hit its funding target on Kickstarter, securing its release for PC platforms, including Steam and GOG, developer KeokeN Interactive has announced. According to a roadmap of stretch goals that KeoKen shared, the game will be upgraded to Unreal Engine 5 and receive console ports when the funding reaches 125K and 150K, respectively. (Funding has reached 121K at the time of this posting.)

KeokeN on its remaining stretch goals:

  • Stretch Goal #1: Unreal Engine 5
    • “Our Kickstarter demo builds upon the foundations laid in our previous games, in Unreal Engine 4.”
    • “While these foundations are solid, Unreal Engine 5 will allow us to push the game up to a new level.”
    • “Migrating our systems, mechanics, plugins, assets, logic and more from UE4 to UE5 takes time, though, and this stretch goal provides us with the means we need to make the transition as smoothly as possible and leverage the full power of Unreal Engine 5!”
  • Stretch Goal #2: Console Editions
    • “One of the most commonly asked questions is about consoles: will Deliver Us Home come to PlayStation and Xbox?”
    • “So far, we’ve been hesitant to promise console editions as we know what it takes to bring a game from PC to console. The combination of technical complications, hardware differences and platform certification requirements make for a time-consuming process.”
    • “But, with this stretch goal reached, we can finally confirm that we’re bringing Deliver Us Home to console!”

A teaser trailer for the game:

Game description:

It’s the 23rd century. Humanity has long ago evacuated the wasteland that is planet Earth. You, a descendant of the evacuees, have been trained relentlessly to become an interplanetary astronaut. Sent out into the endless void of space, your mission statement is as simple as it is impossible: secure a new, permanent home for humanity.

After a long journey, you approach your designated planet. Though you’ve prepared for the unexpected, there’s no telling what lies in store for you on the surface. Survive the unknown, explore the desolation, and break ground for humanity’s new home as you uncover the secrets of mysterious settlers that – somehow – arrived here long before you did.
