Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, a sequel to the 2021 third-person shooter from Cold Iron Studios and 20th Century Games, is currently in development, according to several slides that have appeared online following a hack on Disney that is said to have resulted in over 1 TB of data stolen from the company, including details on employees, unreleased projects, and more. “Project Macondo,” as the game is code named, promises to improve upon the mechanics, atmosphere, and excitement of the original when it arrives in Q3 FY 2025.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite features:
- “Fight through an epic new story campaign with a squad of two A1 companions or live players.”
- “Play as a member of “DAGGER Company,” a battalion of spec-op Xenomorph hunters, each with unique abilities and weapons.”
- “Engage in a diverse array of gameplay scenarios, including NPC interactions, alternate paths, navigational challenges, and clue finding.”
- “Compete with evolved enemy intelligence and behaviors.”
- “Challenge yourself in Annihilation Mode, a new spin on Horde Mode with a variety of objectives and encounters.”
