The Ryzen 9 5900XT and Ryzen 7 5800XT, two new “Zen 3” desktop processors that AMD announced alongside the Ryzen 9000 Series at COMPUTEX 2024 to extend the longevity of its older AM4 platform, are on track for launch this month, AMD has confirmed. The clarification comes a day after some retailers, including B&H Photo, updated their listings with new pre-order dates that suggested that CPUs would not be out until August, similar to the Ryzen 7 9700X, Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 9 9950X, and Ryzen 9 9900X.

From a report:

  • “AMD has confirmed with us that the retail launch of the Ryzen 5000XT ‘Zen 3’ AM4 CPUs remains the same on-track for July.”
  • “The AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT is now listed by (B&H US) for retail availability on the 8th of August which is the same day the company will also launch its Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X.”
  • “The Ryzen 9 5900XT is now listed for launch on the 15th of August which is the same launch day as the Ryzen 9 9950X and the Ryzen 9 9900X.”
