Today Cooler Master is officially launching its 57″ GP57ZS Ultrawide monitor. We first got a look at it at Computex a few months ago and on the surface, it appears to be a strong competitor to Samsung’s 57″ Odyssey Neo G9 that debuted at CES 2023 and subsequently became my daily driver monitor once it was released into the wild.

The Cooler Master GP57ZS features a 1100 nit brightness, integrated audio, dual 4k Resolution on a 1000R curved screen that refreshes at 120Hz. Behind the screen, there are 2,304 dimming zones using mini-LEDs to deliver good color accuracy.

Its more differentiating features include:

  • Integrated KVM switch
  • 90W PD Charging Support over USB
  • Both Picture by Picture Picture In Picture from secondary sources
  • DCI-P3 98% color gamut support
  • USB 3.2 Hub (4 ports available), 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DP 1.4, USB-C, 3.5mm Audio Out

Of course, Cooler Master has not peeped on pricing yet, but I did twist their arm a bit at Computex and they at least agreed it would likely be priced in the ballpark of where the Samsung offering is – so right around two grand, plus or minus a few Benjamins.

I’m looking forward to diving into its capabilities some more to directly compare it to my daily driver.
