Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 won’t be arriving anytime soon but fans waiting for the sequel should at least get to play it at home in the beginning of 2025. Warhorse Studios PR Manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, aka Sir Tobi, made the official announcement yesterday explaining how the team, almost, met its deadline for the action RPG sequel by adding that “almost isn’t good enough.” Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 had been planned for a Q4 24 release but instead, has been given a new date of February 11, 2025.

Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors echoed the official release date announcement during Embracer’s latest earnings report by saying, “Our highly anticipated game Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, is now confirmed for global release on February 11, 2025.”

New trailers are forthcoming and Warhorse Studios gets its own gallery

VGC reports that a new trailer will be released at next week’s GamesCom event during its Tuesday premiere night and that an early review of the game will be posted the day after. Warhorse Studios will additionally release a 20-minute gameplay trailer on August 21 as well. Those able to attend GamesCom in Cologne, Germany will have the opportunity to play the game firsthand. Given the announcements for VGC’s review and the gameplay trailer, along with events at GamesCom, it’s probably a safe bet there will be more news, reviews, and announcements happening next week.

Sir Tobi has also posted on social media how he’s made prints from a recent press event for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and is creating a gallery at Warhorse Studios with them. Fans are already asking how to get their own prints of the game. It could be that Sir Tobi may have discovered a new revenue stream for Warhorse Studios as he is already responding to at least one of the requests.

If all goes according to plan, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 11, 2025.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
