Ubisoft has released a new Star Wars Outlaws Galaxy trailer showing off some of the game’s interplanetary locales and moons. The short teaser trailer sees Kay Vess traversing several terrains including dense jungles, grassy plains, and more footage of Tatooine’s well-known deserts. Numerous outposts including what appear to be areas controlled by the empire, ranging from city-sized spaceports to small local villages, along with their cantinas, are also showcased in the Star Wars Outlaws Galaxy trailer.

Trailer Description (via YouTube):

  • “Get a sneak peek of the planets and moons that await in Star Wars Outlaws: the frozen air of Kijimi, the dense jungle of Akiva, the windswept plains of Toshara, and the arid desert of Tatooine.”

Planets Showcased in Trailer:

  • Akiva – A dense jungle world that has a mix of rainforests and tropical environments
  • Toshara – Described as having windswept plains, this planet combines elements from the African Sahara to the Australian Outback.
  • Kijimi – This frozen world appears to have been inspired by the Himalayan mountain range in Asia where the Empire seems to be in control but its underworld is ripe with gambling and smuggling.
  • Tatooine – From spaceports to Jabba The Hutt’s palace, meeting Sandpeople and Jawas, Kay Vess is seen traveling across the desert world.

Star Wars Outlaws arrives for consoles and PC on August 30 when players can take part in an original story set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi. The first-ever open-world Star Wars game has players embarking on adventures as Kay Vess, a scoundrel trying to find a way to a better life by any means along with her companion Nix. The pair will have to fight, outwit, and steal their way throughout the galaxy and encounter new, as well as iconically famous, planets and characters from the Star Wars universe.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
