The Pro Mini, a new portable SSD that maker Iodyne says was designed for film, visual effects, and creative production workflows, is one of the newest products on the market to feature AirJet, the world’s first solid-state chip for active device cooling, Frore Systems has announced. The technology, which can also be found in ZOTAC’s ZBOX pico PI430AJ (“world’s first solid-state active-cooled Mini PC”), is said to deliver up to a 2x improvement in device performance while operating in silence.
Features of the SSD include:

- “Universal connectivity: Supporting USB2.x, USB3.x and USB 4/Thunderbolt.”
- “Workflow Metadata – customizable and accessible through NFC or Cloud.”
