LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW RePOP: Uncensored Remake of James Gunn and Suda51’s Hack-and-Slash Game Launches for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam with 4K/60 FPS Graphics and Other Improvements

LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW RePOP, a remake of the 2012 action-adventure hack-and-slash game from developer Grasshopper Manufacture, game designer Goichi Suda (Suda 51), and filmmaker James Gunn that is said to be a definitive version of the cult classic, featuring 4K graphics, new chainsaws, 30 costumes, and even a “RePOP mode” that ushers in new pop-art-inspired damage effects, is now available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PCs via Steam, developer Dragami Games has announced. Gunn, who currently leads Warner Bros. Discovery’s superhero efforts as co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios, had a hand in developing Lollipop Chainsaw’s story and characters, including protagonist Juliet Starling, a zombie hunter who decapitates her boyfriend after he turns into a zombie but keeps him alive with a magical ritual.

A note on resolution and frame rate:

Story synopsis:

The story starts in San Romero High School, the largest high school in the district, somewhere on the west coast of the US of A. Protagonist Juliet Starling, is an exemplary student of San Romero who passionately loves cheerleading. Unbeknownst to most, however, her family, the Starlings, has been a lineage of zombie hunters, guiding the undead to beyond since ancient times…

The incident unfolds on Juliet’s birthday. She heads to school to meet her boyfriend, but as she pedals her bicycle into the school grounds, she is greeted by the sight of her former schoolmates, who have all been turned into zombies!
