NoPSSDK, a new mod that is said to fully strip the PlayStation PC SDK runtime requirement from the PC version of God of War Ragnarök, allowing players on Steam to skip the game’s PSN account requirement, is now available for download on Nexus Mods, creator iArtorias has announced. The mod arrives amid what appears to be an increasing amount of negative reviews for the game from early adopters, including those that claim issues with DLSS Frame Generation and memory usage remain even after the release of several patches from porter Jetpack Interactive and developer Santa Monica Studio.

How to install the mod:

  • “Download the latest release
  • “Copy the version.dll and PsPcSdk.dll to the game folder”
  • “Enjoy!”

Critics are saying:

  • “Why the f**k I have to register a PlayStation account to play this f**king game? Obviously you guys are trying to make everything exclusive on your sh*t devices, your sh*t accounts, even with the game being released on a open platform 1 year after.”
  • “PSN requirement is ridiculous. It’s a shame, big fan of the god of war series but I’m not onboard with this ransom approach, forcing you to sign up to things, submit photos and PII for age verification etc.”
  • “Since day one, DLSS Frame Generation has been unusable on 40-series GPUs, causing screen flickering and freezing.”
  • “I am not here to preach about the Playstation account problem. No, the biggest problem with the game is technical. Ever since Update 2, a major memory leak has occurred for me in Midgard which consistently crashes my whole computer.”

A launch trailer for the game:

Game description:

The sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018), God of War Ragnarök picks up with Fimbulwinter well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Odin’s forces in Asgard prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world.

Along the way, they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. As the threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer, Kratos and Atreus must choose between the safety of their family and the safety of the realms.
