Batman: Arkham, the superhero action-adventure video game series that began with 2009’s Batman: Arkham Asylum and, following its critical acclaim, led to various sequels, including 2011’s Batman: Arkham City and 2015’s Batman: Arkham Knight, may be getting an additional installment courtesy of original developer Rocksteady Studios, according to new rumors that have surfaced online. The new game, which would mark Rocksteady’s return to the series following this year’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, is said to involve Sony, with the PlayStation maker reportedly “trying to moneyhat it.”

An exchange on X reads:

  • “[The Game Awards] Name your dream game developer for the next Batman game.”
  • “Not sure which studio people’s dream is, but I heard Rocksteady are back making it.”
  • “I also think Sony are trying to moneyhat it lol”
