Intel’s new Core Ultra 200 Series of “Arrow Lake-S” desktop CPUs will supposedly be announced on October 10, with the review embargo and sales for the chips lifting/commencing by the end of the month, on October 24, according to the latest reports. The new family of CPUs will be led by the Core Ultra 9 285K, a new flagship option that features 24 cores (8P+16E) and boost clocks of up to 5.7 GHz. Corroboration of Intel’s plans comes by way of the @wxnod account, who has teased Z890 motherboards and benchmarks for Arrow Lake-S CPUs this month.

…Intel is now inviting media and influencers to a special pre-announcement briefing. This briefing will disclose the first details on the Core Ultra 200 series and will be followed by a Q&A session.
