Starship Troopers: Continuum is coming to Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3 virtual reality headsets on October 17, 2024, with a PlayStation VR2 release coming a little later on October 31, 2024, developer XR Games and Sony Pictures have announced. This is a new VR game that sees Casper Van Dien reprise his role as Johnny Rico, the protagonist of 1997’s Starship Troopers, which was directed by RoboCop and Total Recall’s Paul Verhoeven. Featuring Casper Van Dien reprising his role as the legendary ‘Johnny Rico’, Starship Troopers: Continuum is set 25 years after the Battle of Klendathu. The war between the Federation and the Arachnid is deadlocked, but the planet Janus-4 holds a secret that threatens to tip the balance of the war; The Continuum.

In addition, there are many other ways this October to kill Bugs! Starship Troopers: Extermination, the 16-player co-op FPS developed by Offworld Industries and published for consoles by Knights Peak, will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S on October 11. On that same date, the title also launches out of Early Access into 1.0 on PC.
