Adam Fletcher, Global Director of Community for all things Diablo at Blizzard Entertainment, has shared his thoughts about the launch of Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred on social media, stating that he hopes Blizzard “never [has] a start like that again” after the company failed to deliver the expansion on time, with the launch happening many hours after what had been promised to players—five hours, to be exact. Fletcher, who was attacked by some players for the misstep despite being mostly a messenger, also noted that some players may not have access to Spiritborn, the new class that is available as part of the paid expansion. A live action launch trailer and message from Brent Gibson, game direct of Vessel of Hatred, can be found below.
We’ve seen some reports from console players who will randomly have quests blocked or have errors noting their Vessel of Hatred licenses being revoked. We identified the issue and are testing out a fix. We have seen some reports of specific users not having access to Spiritborn. Xbox users should check this thread as they may have purchased a Standard to Ultimate Edition upgrade w/o purchasing the Standard Edition of Vessel of Hatred.
