TRON: Catalyst, a story-driven, isometric action game set in the world first introduced in Disney’s ground-breaking 1982 sci-fi action-adventure film, is coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in 2025, developer Bithell Games and Big Fan Games, a subsidiary of Devolver Digital, have announced. This game does not star Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) or his son, Sam (Garrett Hedlund), but instead, Exo, a new protagonist that has been described as a highly resilient and resourceful program, one that can initiate time loops. An announcement trailer for TRON: Catalyst that includes gameplay footage and several cutscenes, including a Light Cycle sequence, can be found below.

In Disney TRON: Catalyst, players are introduced to Exo, a highly resilient and resourceful program with an incredible ability to initiate time loops. With this newfound power, Exo takes on the overlords of a crumbling Grid all while evading Conn, a malevolent agent of CORE. Exo must gain control over her mysterious abilities and uncover the unexplained ‘Glitch’ that threatens the Grid.

As Exo, players will battle on-foot and on Light Cycle to complete missions and gain crucial insights that will help them on their quest. While learning from her mistakes, Exo ​ will also need to navigate warring factions to unlock new paths and uncover the secrets of the Arq Grid.
