Life is Strange: Double Exposure, a new installment of the adventure game series from Deck Nine Games that sees the return of the franchise’s original time-rewinding hero, Max Caulfield, is now available for Ultimate Edition owners to play as part of its early access perk, Square Enix has announced. The Ultimate Edition, which allows players to enjoy the first two chapters of the game not days, but two weeks early, is priced at $79.99—a $30 premium over the base version. Some critics are asking why Square Enix doesn’t just release the entire game, while others are complaining about how hard it will be to avoid leaked content and spoilers.

The first two chapters of the game follow returning fan-favorite character Max, now a photographer-in-residence at Caledon University, as she kicks off a parallel-universe-spanning mystery and meets memorable new characters, including lovable astrophysicist Moses, aspirational poet Safi and many others. For fans of the episodic releases of past games, these first two chapters offer the perfect setup for the dramatic events to come and shouldn’t be missed.
