The Core Ultra 9 285K, a new 24-core desktop processor that leads Intel’s new stack of Core Ultra 200S series “Arrow Lake” CPUs, is capable of drawing a lot of power, according to several Cinebench tests that have been shared online, including one that suggests the chip can draw as much as 370 watts of power. The new benchmarks come two weeks after Intel announced the Core Ultra 200S series, confirming the Core Ultra 9 285K to feature a base power and turbo power of 125 watts and 250 watts, respectively. The Core Ultra 200S series will be available later this week, on Thursday, October 24.

Thanks to the latest Intel core and efficiency innovations, Intel Core Ultra 200S desktop processors deliver a landmark reduction in power usage with up to 58% lower package power in everyday applications and up to 165W lower system power while gaming. The new processor family combines improved efficiency with improved performance, also delivering up to 6% faster single-threaded6 and up to 14% faster multi-threaded performance over the previous generation.
