The first reviews for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, one of the first “Zen 5” desktop processors to feature AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology, will be published on November 6, while sales for the CPU will commence just a day later, on Thursday, November 7, according to new information that was shared on social media today. Today also marks the arrival of some new single-core and multi-core scores for the 9800X3D on Geekbench, alluding to a level of performance that could be up to 25% faster than its predecessor, the 7800X3D. The CPU was benchmarked on Geekbench 6.3, using the ROG Crosshair X870E Hero motherboard with PBO enabled, boosting over its default boost clock to 5.27 GHz. It scored an impressive 3339 points in single-core and 18658 points in multi-core tests, surpassing the previous gen Ryzen X3D predecessor by up to 25%. Two days ago, the processor was benchmarked on Geekbench, resulting in 3305 points in single-core and 18221 points in multi-core tests.
