The Ryzen 7 9800X3D has showed up on Geekbench again ahead of its release, revealing a new “Zen 5” CPU with 3D V-Cache that can boost up to 5,467 MHz and attain single-core and multi-core scores of 3,473 and 19,216 points, respectively. According to some of the performance comparisons that have been shared online, those scores would mean up to 27% faster performance than its predecessor, the 7800X3D, as well as multi-score performance that is on par with the Ryzen 9 7950X and Core Ultra 7 265K. AMD’s own claims, which tease an 8% performance improvement versus the 7800X3D and a 20% improvement over the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, can be found below.

It scored an impressive 3473 points in single-core and 19,216 points in multicore tests, surpassing the previous gen Ryzen X3D predecessor by up to 27%. The multi-score performance is also solid, matching the Ryzen 9 7950X and the Core Ultra 7 265K, both of which feature much higher core & thread counts.
