Production of several GeForce RTX 4070 Series models, including the GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4070 SUPER, and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, will be ending in December, with final shipments of these GPUs scheduled for January 2025, according to the latest rumors out of China. A roundup of NVIDIA’s supposed plans come by way of GAZLOG, which notes the arrival of the first GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs in January, followed by the the RTX 5070 in February and the RTX 5060 in March:
- “RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 to be released in January, the RTX 5070 in February, and the RTX 5060 in March.”
- “Production of the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 SUPER, which will replace the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, has already ended as of October 2024.”
- “The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER has already been discontinued along with the RTX 4080 SUPER, which was discontinued in October, with the final shipments expected in November.”
- “The supply of the popular upper-middle-range RTX 4070 SUPER and RTX 4070 models was reduced in Q3 2024 (July to September), but is expected to decrease further in Q4 (October to December).”
- “The final shipments of the RTX 4080 SUPER will be made in November, and the final shipments of the RTX 4070 series will be made in December.”

NVIDIA seems to expect that supply will end two months before the release of new graphics cards, and that stock of the previous generation will be sold out at the time of release. In Japan, the RTX 4090, the final shipment of which is said to have been made in October, is now almost out of stock.
