“Battlemage,” Intel’s second generation of Arc GPUs, will be released before 2025. The news comes from a reporter with ZDNet Korea, who was told by an official from a domestic PC company that “Intel Arc 2nd generation graphics card products based on the 2nd generation Xe core ‘Battlemage’ are expected to be released before the end of the year at the latest.” See below for two of the Battlemage GPUs that were leaked by Amazon over the weekend, both of which are from ASRock.

At the Intel Tech Tour event held at the end of May, Tom Peterson, Intel’s graphics and software architecture fellow, said, “‘Battlemage’ based on the 2nd generation Xe core, which greatly enhances power efficiency and performance, will also be released.”

…its gaming performance is unlikely to be significantly ahead of its competitors. A distributor explained, “Graphics cards such as the Arc A750/770 are used more for developing/driving generative AI models or accelerating video processing than for gaming.”
