The Radeon RX 8800 XT, one of AMD’s next-generation graphics cards, will enter mass production in mid-December, according to the latest rumors that have surfaced out of China. The rumors, which stem from Chiphell’s zhangzhonghao, suggest that the GPU will deliver ray tracing and raster performance that’s on par with the GeForce RTX 4080, a graphics card that NVIDIA launched in November 2022 for $1,199. See below for some of the rumored numbers, which suggest substantially lower power consumption but higher ray tracing performance vs. the Radeon RX 7900 XTX. (Note that the “Radeon RX 8800 XT” name is unconfirmed.)
