The Radeon RX 8800 XT, one of AMD’s next-generation graphics cards, will feature a 220-watt TDP—43 watts lower than the Radeon RX 7800 XT’s 263-watt TBP—according to Seasonic, the company best known for its range of high-quality power supplies for consumer PCs and other market segments. The alleged power spec comes by way of an update on Seasonic’s wattage calculator, a tool that allows customers to calculate how much power their systems might need by entering their hardware, including CPUs and GPUs. Recent rumors suggest that the Radeon RX 8800 XT will enter mass production this month and deliver a level of performance that’s in line with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080.

Please note that the Wattage Calculator only provides an indication of the minimum power that your system requires. In some circumstances, e.g., high-end graphics cards, SLI, or Crossfire, we advise users purchase a higher wattage than the recommendation to avoid potential problems.
