AM4, a platform that AMD introduced in September 2016 to usher in the Zen architecture and the first of its Ryzen desktop processors, is greatly outselling Intel’s alternatives, including LGA 1200 (Comet/Rocket Lake), LGA 1700 (Alder/Raptor Lake), and LGA 1851, a socket that released just months ago for Meteor Lake-PS and Arrow Lake-S CPUs, according to new sales data that has been shared online. AMD is listed with 3,800 mainboards sold, with AM5 and AM4 sales being 2,730 and 1,070 units, respectively. Intel, on the other hand, sold 550 mainboards, with LGA 1700 being the most popular among customers.
