The MSI MPG 322URX is essentially an upgrade over the MPG 321URX launched early this year with a couple of notable changes to the already impressive gaming display. The MSI MPG 322URX uses the same 32-inch QD-OLED panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms GtG response time with VRR support provided via Adaptive Sync. The display is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified and has brightness levels of 250 nits (SDR), around 450 nits with TrueBlack 400, and up to 1000 nits in typical usage with a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 100000000:1.

MSI has not only upgraded DP connectivity for the MSI MPG 322URX but has gone all out by supporting the currently fastest DP 2.1 specification via UHBR20 with up to 80 Gbps transmission throughput. Power delivery has also been upgraded to 98W from 90W (MPG 321URX) thus allowing for additional device support and improved charging capability. Display connectivity options are provided via 2x HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps), 1x DP 2.1, and 1x USB Type-C (DP alt. supported) with 98W PD. It does not include speakers but a standard headphone/audio jack is provided. Presently, MSI has only listed the new model on its Chinese site but could announce it in other markets very soon.

Other Features:

MSI’s OLED Care 2.0 provides supportive care services for preventative burn-in damage plus a 3-year burn-in warranty. The 10-bit, 16:9 flatscreen, panel is capable of displaying up to 1.07 billion colors and features QD Premium Color – Delta E≤2 accuracy. It is rated at 98% Adobe RGB, 99% DCI-P3, and 138% SRGB (CIE1976 standard).

Additional ports include 1x USB 3.2 Type B port for upstream and 2x USB 3.2 Type A ports for downstream. The included stand supports -5° ~ 15° (Tilt), -30° ~ 30° (Angle rotation), -10° ~ 10° (Center Axis rotation), and 0 ~ 110 mm height adjustment. It is also VESA 100 x 100 compatible for those not wanting to use the stand. An official price has yet to be announced for the MPG UR322 but a French retailer has listed it for €1,485, ~$1,557.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
