The Taiko Audio Extreme, a state-of-the-art music server that Taiko Audio launched in 2018 to deliver what the company says is the most realistic sounding/live reproduction of stored music files and streaming music from Qobuz and Tidal, will be celebrating its sixth anniversary this month, according to Taiko Audio’s original announcement for the product, which was published on December 20, 2018. The server, which starts at €28,000 and features dual Intel Xeon CPUs and support for up to 48 GB of RAM and 24 TB of storage, remains popular among audiophiles despite its relatively high price tag, according to ongoing discussions for the server that can be found online, including a thread on the What’s Best Forum that has reached over 1,000 pages. See below for specifications and some photos of Taiko’s “EXTREME SERVER,” which is estimated to ship 12 weeks after ordering.
