Ubisoft has published a new combat gameplay overview for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and with it comes several short videos that demonstrate the action RPG’s combat system and how players will be able to take down enemies as its dual protagonists: samurai Yasuke and shinobi Naoe. The new blog post, which Ubisoft shared on the official Assassin’s Creed site yesterday, also includes a breakdown of some of the weapons that are featured in the game, including katanas and tantos for Naoe and naginatas and kanabos for Yasuke, as well as some of the enemy types that players will be encountering on their journey. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is releasing on February 14 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Ubisoft+, Amazon Luna, Macs with Apple silicon via the Mac App Store, as Windows PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. (An iPad version has also been planned.)

All footage is from a work in progress build. Please note that some of the videos in this article may be compressed, which could affect their quality. Make sure to watch in 4K for the best quality. HUD setting may vary from one clip to another to showcase examples of customizable options.
