
The OneXPlayer G1 is a unique gaming handheld, or laptop, thanks to a detachable keyboard that reveals game controls inside its aircraft aluminum CNC chassis. From a concept laptop that features detachable controllers and pop-out speakers to this crowdfunded device, 2024 has seen some interesting designs for gamers on the go. The OneXPlayer G1 is a hybrid device that seeks to give gamers the best of both worlds with its removable keyboard & touchpad that features game controls and a secondary capacitive input keyboard underneath. Both keyboards and the controllers include RGB. The controllers have linear triggers and tactile shoulder buttons for “Precise Feedback”.
It is powered by AMD Ryzen 9 HX 370 which is an AMD Strix Point APU featuring 12 Zen 5 cores and RDNA 3.5 graphics with 16 CUs. Visuals are provided via an 8.8″ 144Hz 2.5K display. According to the promo video, the device includes USB4 and USB A ports along with Oculink so it could conceivably be attached to an external GPU for improved graphics and weighs approximately 900 grams. Memory, storage, and battery specifications, along with price and release date, have not yet been revealed. The OneXPlayer G1 will be added to the One Netbook line of gaming laptops and tablets.
