The Xbox Series X|S, Microsoft’s fourth and current generation of video game consoles, will be succeeded by a new system called the “Xbox Prime,” according to new rumors that have surfaced from an X account that specializes in Call of Duty leaks. “Still unclear if it’s a code name or the actual name,” @TheGhostOfHope tweeted on January 5, claiming that the system will be released in 2026 and that Infinity Ward’s new Call of Duty game will be a “day-one release” for it. These rumors come four years after the release of the Xbox Series X|S, which Microsoft brought to retailers on November 10, 2020.

Take this with a huge grain of salt:

I’m hearing that the next Xbox console is still coming in 2026 and will be called “Xbox Prime”. Still unclear if it’s a code name or the actual name. I’ve heard Infinity Ward’s next COD is still being considered a day one release for this.
