An overseas manufacturer is the first to offer a laptop featuring the best of the best from AMD and NVIDIA’s next-gen technology. Enter MACHENIKE, a laptop manufacturer from China who has just listed a laptop whose specifications can easily rival those of most PC user’s desktops. To date, laptops featuring NVIDIA’s mobile RTX 50 series GPUs have been limited to RTX 5080, or lower, and paired with either Intel Core Ultra 200HX/AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processors but the MACHENIKE Sugon 16 Pro is the first to break away from the pack and take the lead across the finish line.
AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D
One of the first things to note about the Sugon 16 Pro is its processor. The Ryzen 9 9955HX3D is essentially the mobile version of the upcoming high-end Ryzen 9 9950X3D desktop CPU. Both are 16-core/32-thread processors. The Ryzen 9 9955HX3D (codename Fire Range) has a base clock of 2.5 GHz and can boost up to 5.4 GHz whereas the 9950X3D’s clock speeds are 4.3 GHz/5.7 GHz. Both have an L3 cache of 128 MB. TDP for the 9955HX3D is 55W but can go higher and the laptop manufacturer has indicated it will enable up to 125W of power to the processor.
NVIDIA GeForce Mobile RTX 5090
The NVIDIA GeForce Mobile RTX 5090 appears to follow the normal path for many mobile variants of desktop GPUs in that it is not based on the GPU for which it is named but on the next one below in the product stack. In other words, it uses the GB203 processor found in the RTX 5080 desktop graphics card and is of course cut down slightly from that version but with a very interesting twist in terms of memory. Unlike the desktop version which has 16 GB GDDR7 memory, the mobile version appears to be getting 24 GB GDDR7 VRAM using the newer 3GB modules. TDP is said to be 150W and up to 175W with Dynamic Boost.
Per VideoCardz:
“Gamers will be able to choose up to the GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, the flagship 24GB GDDR7 mobile GPU from NVIDIA’s Blackwell RTX series. This GPU features the GB203 processor with 10,496 CUDA cores and new 3GB modules unique to this SKU.”

Specifications and Features
The overseas manufacturer has not, yet, listed a price for this top-tier gaming laptop but such a premium product is assuredly going to go for a premium price as well. Usually, products similar to this begin in the $3K-$5K range and can go much higher depending on configuration options such as more storage or memory. The Sugon 16 Pro has a default TDP of 230W but, if using the optional liquid cooling system, it can go as high as 280W in its Ultra configuration.
