Ubisoft has revealed the pre-load and global launch times for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, a 14th installment of the action-adventure series that will transport players to 16th century Japan when the game releases for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and additional platforms on Thursday, March 20.

“We noticed an error in our original image,” Ubisoft advised on its official Assassin’s Creed account on X today before posting what are presumably the correct global release timings, including when Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC players will be able to pre-load the title:

The pre-load and global launch times for Assassin’s Creed Shadows come a week after Ubisoft shared a deep dive regarding the progression system in the game, a few videos of which can be found below:

“With the unique Mastery trees, we want to give players the freedom to dedicate themselves into a specific weapon, playstyle, or archetype, and ensure they can deepen their mastery of it,” Julien (Associate Game Director) mentioned in one part of the feature, which additionally covers Abilities, Knowledge Ranks, Enemy Resistance, and more. “The points you invest in a Mastery tree also unlock additional bonuses for that weapon or archetype, further reinforcing your progress.”

“Available on PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S, Ubisoft+, Amazon Luna, Macs with Apple silicon via the Mac App Store as well as Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store,” reads a description for Assassin’s Creed Shadows on the official Ubisoft Store. “Also coming to iPad.”

“Live the intertwined stories of Naoe, an adept shinobi Assassin from Iga Province, and Yasuke, the powerful African samurai of historical legend.”
