(PR) (Sammy, MSI) When it comes to high-performance gaming and AI computing rigs, the RTX 5090 demands more power. In response to the high wattage requirements of graphics cards, MSI has meticulously refined the thermal performance of the MEG Ai1600T PCIE5, optimizing everything from component selection to airflow design. With a comprehensive thermal strategy in place, MSI ensures stable performance and long-term reliability. Let’s take a closer look at how MSI has perfected its power supply thermal solution.

Advanced Cooling with SiC MOSFETs and Server-Grade Transformer

At the core of the MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 is Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFET technology, which significantly enhances heat dissipation and is the latest power supply to utilize this material in computer power supplies. Compared to traditional silicon MOSFETs, SiC MOSFETs run 10% cooler, improve overall efficiency, reduce losses, and optimize heat dissipation. Lower temperatures mean improved reliability and a longer lifespan for the PSU.

To further optimize cooling efficiency, MSI incorporates a server-grade flat spring coil transformer, which reduces volume by 4.6% compared to conventional designs. Allows for better airflow between capacitors, preventing heat buildup and maintaining optimal operating temperatures even under heavy loads.

Enhanced Airflow with a 135mm Fan and Enlarged Heatsink

MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 efficient thermal management doesn’t stop at components alone. The heatsinks enlarge the surface of heat dissipation up to 30%, and covers critical heat-generating components, further enhancing overall cooling efficiency.

Additionally, MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 pairs its advanced power delivery with a 135mm fan, designed with larger blades and optimized airflow guidance to maximize cooling performance. Even at lower speeds, this fan efficiently dissipates heat while ensuring noise-free experience.

The heatsink-cutting design not only increases heat dissipation but also pairs with an airflow guide. This power supply optimizes the airflow path, directing cool air where needed most, avoiding airflow mess in the power supply.

Despite packing 1600W of power, MSI has managed to keep the MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 compact at just 190 x 150 x 86 mm. Unlike bulkier Titanium-rated PSUs that are up to 210mm in depth, this design leaves more room for cable routing and is compatible across most of PC cases.

By integrating the latest SiC MOSFETs, a server-grade transformer, enlarged heatsinks, and optimized power supply inside airflow, the MSI MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 is engineered to deliver exceptional power efficiency while maintaining stability and near-silent operation, even under extreme loads.
