
Assassin’s Creed Shadows, a new chapter of the action-adventure franchise from Ubisoft that is said to have been performance optimized for Intel Core Ultra processors, will be playable on the Steam Deck when it launches on March 20, Ubisoft has announced.
Per a tweet from Ubisoft, where it said it’s merely waiting on Valve to update the game listing with a compatibility checkmark:
Many of you have been asking about Steam Deck. We are happy to say that we are supporting Steam Deck at launch and are currently awaiting the level of classification from Valve. More info to come soon.
Ubisoft has also revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will launch with several exclusive Steam features, including 6 Steam badges, 9 trading cards, 5 emoticons, and 6 background images, some of which have been teased in the promotional image that Ubisoft shared below (more info on those can be found here):

“Assassin’s Creed Shadows releases Day 1 (March 20) on Steam with Steam badges, trading cards & emoticons! ,” Ubisoft told players. “Check out the visuals in the Steam news … and wishlist the game on Steam now!”
In addition to Steam, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on several platforms when it launches on March 20, per a blurb from the Assassin’s Creed Shadows website that can be found below:
Available on PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S, Ubisoft+, Amazon Luna, Macs with Apple silicon via the Mac App Store as well as Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Also coming to iPad in the future.
