Sony and Shift Up have reason to celebrate as the PC release for Stellar Blade has proven to be a huge success and is setting new records. It has taken only two days for Stellar Blade to utterly obliterate past records by such popular titles as Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, The Last of Us Part I, and God of War Ragnarök. In fact, if you add the all-time peak counts for those four titles, the total would only just barely exceed the new record by a little over 10,000. The game, once known as Project Eve while in development and released on PS5 in 2024, reached an astounding total of 183,830 concurrent players on Steam within 48 hours of release.

What makes this all the more impressive is that Stellar Blade was also released on Epic Games Store, and all jokes aside, the combined totals from both storefronts could easily exceed 200,000. Congrats to Shift Up for its faithful port-over and once again, bringing a PlayStation title over to PC is almost like printing money for Sony. Meanwhile, there are still many fans of Bloodborne anxiously awaiting news that one day that popular title will one day make its way to PC. That title has had years of rumors and speculation without anything yet manifesting. Regardless, Stellar Blade has managed to gain PC specific features such as DLSS 4 and FSR 3, Ultrawide support, unlocked framerates, hi-res textures, and DualSense wireless controller support with haptic feedback. Shift Up has already confirmed that a second game is in development.
“The future of humanity hangs in the balance in Stellar Blade, an all-new story-driven action adventure now available on PC.”
