We are using an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D based system for testing. For 2025 we have upgraded our testing PC with completely updated components from top to bottom. We are using the motherboard’s current default BIOS settings on the latest release BIOS. We have enabled PCI-Express Resizable BAR in the motherboard BIOS. We have enabled EXPO I in the BIOS for the memory. We are using a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro with the latest Windows Updates, including the 24H2 update. We have the latest drivers installed including the latest chipset drivers.  We are using the “Balanced” power profile in Windows Settings, Core Isolation/Memory Integrity (VBS) is Enabled.

SUMMARY

This review evaluated the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 GAMING OC 8G video card. GIGABYTE has put together an excellent video card at a very fair price. This video card provides a playable gameplay experience at 1080p, when not VRAM limited. The WINDFORCE cooling system works great, and keeps this video card well-cooled, while power efficiency is great. This video card meets the NVIDIA-SFF specs, and with its compact nature, triple-fan design, lower power usage, and cooling, it makes for a great card in a small build. We even found that the card overclocks well gaining nearly 10% performance, while staying cool and quiet. It is more expensive than reference MSRP pricing, but offers just enough to justify the slightly higher pricing.
