We are using the motherboard’s current default BIOS settings.  We are running the latest motherboard BIOS.  We have Windows 11 Pro configured to run in the “Balanced” power profile.  Windows has the latest updates and has been updated to 24H2.

CrystalDiskInfo & Firmware Update

Note that the TEAMGROUP T-FORCE GE PRO AirFlow I 2TB was shipped with firmware 050g050G dated 2/13/2025, when we received it. Upon checking TEAMGROUP’s download page for updates, we did find a new firmware version available dated 7/01/2025 with version 050g05AS. Therefore, we utilized the firmware update tool and updated our GE PRO 2TB (TM8FFS002T) to firmware 050g05AS for all benchmarks in this review. We can see that it is running at PCIe 5.0 x4 with NVMe 2.0.

SUMMARY

The TEAMGROUP T-FORCE GE PRO AirFlow I 2TB PCIe Gen5 M.2 NVMe SSD offers the T-FORCE GE PRO PCIe Gen5 SSD performance with 14GB/s read and 11.8Gb/s write, with a DRAM cache and performs well in our testing. It utilizes the Innogrit IG5666 controller efficiently, surpassing a competition SSD with the same controller. It provides excellent write bandwidth for this class, as well as random read and write performance. Combined with the T-FORCE Dark AirFlow I cooler, it allows customizability in PWM fan adjustment, and integrated cooling that works very well and looks slick doing it. There are options in 1TB, 2TB, 4TB and 8TB capacities, with two different cooling options giving you choice, overall an excellent consumer SSD for any user type.
