
Samsung has unveiled a couple of world-first displays along with new additions to its popular Odyssey gaming monitors. Samsung has long been established as a premier television and monitor manufacturer, continuing to push the envelope with the latest technologies, and its commitment to this path shows with two new displays that take things a step further, both for general home entertainment and gaming enthusiasts.
World’s First Micro RGB TV

First up for those with deeper pockets is the $29,999 115″ world’s first television featuring Micro RGB technology. Utilizing red, green, and blue micro LEDs that are each less than 100µm in size, this entertainment centerpiece. The Micro RGB television sets a new bar with an industry first by providing 100% color coverage of BT.2020 and has received a Micro RGB Precision color certification from Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE). Odyssey OLED G6

Next up is a 1440p 27″ OLED gaming display. The Odyssey OLED G6 is the world’s first 500Hz OLED gaming monitor. Using QD-OLED technology and priced at $999.99, it is designed to provide crisp image quality along with an amazingly fast refresh rate. It is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, is Pantone Validated, and supports both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro VRR solutions. Samsung’s OLED Safeguard+ provides protection from burn-in, and the Odyssey OLED G6 has a 3-year warranty plus features Samsung’s glare-free technology to prevent screen reflections.
Odyssey G75F 40″ and G75F 37″

Lastly, we have two new additions to the Odyssey G7 lineup with the curved G75F 40″ and G75F 37″ displays. Both displays feature a 1000R curvature, are VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified, and support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro VRR technology, a near 1 ms GTG response time with up to 16.7 million colors. The $1199.99 40″ model has a 21:9 UHD (5,120 x 2,160) 180 Hz panel and includes split screen capabilities. The $899.99 37″ 16:9 UHD model has a 165 Hz refresh rate.
