Gaming Performance at 4K – X3D Gaming Mode
As we stated in our GIGABYTE review, it would not be the routine for someone with a Ryzen 9 9950 X3D and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 to run their games at 1080p. It would seem that 4K would be more commonly used. We ran the same games at 4K to evaluate any advantage X3D Gaming Mode or PBO, or both, might have.

There is a slight advantage here with X3D Gaming Mode enabled, about 4%.

In every game save for one, there was no advantage from any extra BIOS setting in the performance. This does highlight the point that high resolution and quality settings are certainly dependent on the video card performance. It was interesting to find that X3D Gaming Mode was of no help.
