Conclusion

For our final article in the MSI Project Zero series, we evaluated the MSI MAG PANO 100R Gaming PC case. This case is purpose-designed for the MSI Back-Connect line of motherboards. We have reviewed three MSI Project Zero motherboards while using this case to house all three. We found the design, fit, and cable management capabilities of the case to be excellent. The MSI MAG PANO 100R is an all-white minimalist design with a large glass profile front and side panel. The design works well for MATX and full ATX motherboards in both form and function.

Installation and Use

This PC case is very deceptive. It looks short and squatty until you start to put hardware in it. At that point, you realize how roomy and unrestricted it really is. Of course, the Project Zero motherboards put all the connectors into a designed space, so it is very easy to connect up the PSU and accessory I/O cables. Full assembly of a functioning PC is a short and very pleasant experience. There was absolutely no issue reaching connectors or having enough cable to reach a connector.

We had plenty of room to mount the MSI MAG Coreliquid I360 AIO cooler, despite the whole fan/radiator combination being inside the confines of the case. The top of the case slides very close to the framework, so you cannot mount anything on the very top. The fans were pre-mounted, and some cable management was needed to bundle up all the fan and RGB wiring.

If this were my case, I’d probably do some Dremmel work to put all the wiring above the controller. The case has ample room to mount another two 360 radiators or additional fans. There is a full 18 inches from front to back to install a giant GPU. It would be possible to mount a custom water-cooling loop with a little help from a Dremmel.

Every panel and associated hardware for the case fit exactly. The case panels fit together via push pins of some variation. The click into place is solid. The entire case feels solid when fully assembled. The glass is thick, 4mm thick. It fits together to look nearly seamless. The Panoramic view of the inside is very nice. MSI also includes GPU support and a vertical mount that fit into the case without any effort if needed.

To put it in one sentence, we liked this case; it is well thought out.

Final Points

We have now concluded this series of reviews on MSI Project Zero. We have been impressed by the innovation in design. This single concept allows the design and implementation of every part simply fit with every other part. The MSI MAG PANO 100R pulls the whole thing together into a crisp, well-organized package. Now you can offer a big glass front on your PC case because the whole system is designed to conceal the things builders have been trying to work around since day one. If you are starting from the ground up on a new PC build, MSI Project Zero is a very well-conceived design to consider.

SUMMARY

We conclude a series of reviews of the MSI Project Zero with the MSI MAG PANO 100R PZ PC case. One in a line-up of six cases purpose built for back-connect motherboards, we found this case to be very well thought out and easy to work in. The fit, finish and implementation of design were very impressive. This PC case would be a great start to a full back-connect PC build. The glass front and left side are especially impressive as is the overall design.
