Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II was released to PC in February of 2025 and is based on the CryEngine. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is another game where ‘ray tracing’ is enabled at all times by default. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II features an advanced global illumination system for realistic lighting, detailed textures, and geometry, and upscaling technologies including DLSS and FSR. It is based on CryEngine’s sparse vocal octree global illumination for dynamic lighting and shadows. We are utilizing an in-game manual run-through in the open world between cities, through a settlement, and a heavily forested area with direct bright sunlight.
Native Resolution

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, we are running the game at 1440p native resolution on “Ultra” settings. In this game, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti just manages to hit 60FPS average with 1% Lows almost at 50FPS. For this game, that is a playable experience. At these settings, both video cards have the same performance.
DLSS Upscaling

Enabling DLSS Upscaling Quality at 1440p provides an excellent experience on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB video cards. We now average around 77FPS and 1% Lows are above 60FPS, and performance is the same between both cards.
4K with DLSS Upscaling Quality

Turning this game up to 4K resolution is very demanding for the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti video card, and even with DLSS Upscaling Quality enabled it is not playable. We can see that performance, even on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, is far too low at this highest DLSS Upscaling setting. However, what we also notice is that now the VRAM capacity is a problem at 4K, even with DLSS Upscaling Quality enabled. The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB video card is limited here. The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is 14% faster on average and 54% faster on 1% Lows.
4K with DLSS Upscaling Balanced

To try and find better performance at 4K, we dropped the DLSS Upscaling to “Balanced” quality. Only the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB video is still in the playable territorty. The VRAM is an issue, even on DLSS Upscaling Balanced at 4K. The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is 12% faster, and the 1% Lows are 47% faster.
