Mafia: The Old Country

Mafia: The Old Country was released to PC in August of 2025 and is based on the Unreal Engine 5 game engine. Mafia: The Old Country features Nanite and Lumen from Unreal Engine 5 with detailed environments and realistic lighting, with MetaHuman for characters. It does use Lumen for realistic global illumination and shadows. It also supports DLSS, FSR, XeSS, and TSR. We are using a manual in-game run-through in the Prologue: Tremori section that takes place outdoors, in the entirety of the outdoor section playthrough in the daylight.

Native Resolution

Mafia The Old Country 1440p Performance Graph

In Mafia: The Old Country, we tried running the game at the highest image quality setting of “Epic” at 1440p native resolution to push the cards, and push it did. This game is not playable at 1440p native on “Epic” on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. We also see a slight performance difference in favor of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB video card. The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is 6% faster than the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB on average and 5% faster on 1% Lows.

DLSS Upscaling

Enabling DLSS Upscaling at Quality does help performance in this game at 1440p on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. However, while the average is nearing 60FPS, the 1% Lows are still too low. You would need to enable a more aggressive DLSS Upscaling setting to be playable at 1440p on Epic quality settings. The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is faster by 7% on average and 6% faster on 1% Lows.

4K with DLSS Upscaling

Mafia The Old Country 4K Performance Graph

When pushing the resolution up to 4K, even on DLSS Upscaling, “Balanced” performance is not playable on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. In this game, you are going to want to lower in-game graphics settings for the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti at 4K, and also use DLSS Upscaling. The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is faster by 5% on average and 6% in 1% Lows.
