Calling the HKC Tianqi 43H180C an unusual beast is an understatement, but for those looking to boost productivity, it could be the perfect tool of the trade. At 43.8 inches, it already offers plenty of real estate, but what truly sets it apart is its ultrawide 4K 24:9 aspect ratio and 1000R curvature. While desktop gamers are more accustomed to typically just three aspect ratios- 16:9, 21:9, and 32:9- workstation solutions come in almost every imaginable shape, but the Tianqi 43H180C stands above most with its titan-esque design, which could perhaps sway those who may’ve already been using 49″ panels for work.
Per IT Home, HKC (Huichuang Technology) has not yet revealed pricing for the Tianqi 43H180C, but its specs are already accruing interest from around the globe. Using Mini-LED technology, its 5760×2160 resolution offers 1.5 times that of regular 4K, but offers a split-screen feature with 3840×2160 on one side and then 1920×2160 on the other. Those working on audio/video content creation are then offered a unique workflow via a single display. As someone who often works with multiple databases and browsers at the same time, it’s not difficult to imagine the advantageous opportunities available here either.
That’s not the end of the story, as the Tianqi 43H180C also features a 180Hz refresh rate, although good luck using it for gaming given its resolution, and 99% DCI-P3 coverage. HKC has wisely included DP 2.1 connectivity (version not stated, but should be full bandwidth), USB Type-C supporting up to 96W PD, KVM support, and OSD control. Brightness levels or HDR support were not mentioned in the announcement.
HKC Tianqi 43H180C Specifications:
- Resolution: 5760×2160
- Size: 43.8″
- Curvature: 1000R
- Aspect Ratio: 24:9
- Refresh Rate: 180Hz
- Color Gamut: 99% DCI-P3

It will be interesting to hear what reviews have to say about this display with its unique design. Hopefully, media outlets will soon begin coverage; HKC will reveal more about it.

Last time I looked at a pre launch monitor happened to be from msi, got excited enough to save money and wait, it never launched, waited over a year, nada, i got whatever Dell ( in fairness a decent one)
Too true and even though I'd really like something for the office, not likely to happen either but still, a man can dream.
Why would I want that over a solid 4k set of monitors?
This monitor is for me. This is what I want.
Will it come to the US? And what timeframe, good question, and how much?
I have been wanting a good Mini-LED display, I do not want OLED, since my PC is always on a static work display, though I do play games here also, but primariliy it's a Windows desktop. I want to move away from my edge lit LCD to something a little better, and I also want to move away from multiple displays to just one good display, for simplicity's sake. The specs did not say how many zones it had though, I wonder about that.
Anyway, i'll be keeping my eye on this one.
Yea I keep forgetting miniled still needs backlighting. Sounds like it will be nice though.
And the dang C6 and C5 42 inch displays are now over 1k and 1.2k respectively. Definitly turns me off of them. I got my C3 for 799 when I got it and am still trucking along. Data theft and all.
Yeah, I'd love something like this for the office. I repurposed my 49" CRG9 for it a few years back and that has been awesome and I really can't emphasize that enough but something like this would further refine on that experience. I'm so used to it for work now that anytime I have to be without, it's tortuous. I tend to work with multiple databases and web pages at the same time and it's been so nice having it all on one screen.
However, some of its size is wasted since I usually have zero need for everything horizontally since that incurs neck strain and probably only use 90-95% consistently, but I would like a bit more vertical since it would enable less need to scroll, or change excel or browser sizes to see more, and this fits the bill exactly. Oh well, probably never going to happen but a man can dream.
Black Friday is coming.
